IRA Follow-up

I finally got in touch with Vanguard & she showed me how to correct the issue online. It was very simple. So I was able to recategorize my contribution from 2020 to 2019. I now have $1k to contribute for 2019 & $6k to contribute for 2020. I will send $500 to my 2019 IRA in February & March.

I owe my mom one last payment of $250 for my AC loan. My TSP loan is now below $4k. My car loan will be paid off in the first half of 2021.

I transferred $100 to my savings yesterday & mailed $20 to the local food bank this week.

I received my Clever Fox budget planner this week. I really like it & I’m well into journaling my January budget. I brought my lunch 4 times this week! That’s a record for me.

    Good for you on bringing your lunch. That can be a challenge for me as well. I usually am pretty good at the beginning of the year, then March goes crazy with tax season and all my good resolutions fly out the window. Good for you on your success and I hope the Planner helps you keep with it!

    I just asked on your other post about what method of budgeting you would use. I've heard of Clever Fox for planning, but didn't realize they have a budget one. Let us know how that goes for you. Will you cash envelopes? Nice work on bringing your lunch.

    I wasn’t planning on using cash envelopes. I’ll see how I do this first month with my budget. If it doesn’t go well, I may need to do cash envelopes.

    Well done on taking your lunch. Besides saving money, I usually didn't have a choice when my lunch was around 30 minutes, usually less. I know it saved me a chunk of money. One thing that helped was whenever possible, I got stuff ready the night before.

    Good job on getting the AC loan paid down. Almost done!
