I do plan on switching health insurance plans to a plan with an HSA. I'll contribute another $10 or $20 per pay period in addition to the $750 that the insurance plan will contribute for the year. I won't contribute to the FSA this year. I think the HSA has many advantages over the FSA including that it rolls over every year. So it's a source of income for medical expenses not just now, but also in retirement when I may need it even more.

I decided to buy myself a Keurig coffee maker for my birthday in December. I've been going back and forth about it for a while. It's expensive, but I know that I will enjoy it. I picked up a special 48 count holiday varieties of K-cups at Macy's today. I plan on buying all the components (coffee maker, k-cups, k-cup holder) on sale. I always have 20% off coupons for Bed, Bath, and Beyond. My mom has already invited herself over to my place to use it. She loves to use my older sister's when she visits her.

So they were finally posted the limits. I even sent the IRS an email comment asking when they would be announced. Most limits unchanged, but those that affect me didn't change, which I expected.
I can keep my payroll deduction the same for next year. I'm very close to reaching a short-term retirement savings goal which is always exciting.

I'm not expecting the limits to change, but it sure would be nice if they would give us the official word already. Guess everyone's too engrossed with midterm elections to care in Washington, DC.

I'm excited to see the Dow finish above 11,000. While I've enjoyed being able to invest in the market at record lows, I'm excited and anxious to see our economy recover. I know it will be a long road, but I'm optimistic that it will happen and is happening.
